Extra bedroom socket — ring extended through lath & plaster
Additional twin socket added to a bedroom by extending the existing ring final circuit. A little more involved than a standard chase — the wall was traditional lath and plaster, so extra care was taken to route cable neatly without disturbing the finish. Minor works; existing surge protection already in place at the consumer unit. Full inspection & test carried out to BS 7671 with Megger MFT — R1+R2, insulation resistance, Zs, RCD disconnection time and polarity all recorded.
